This album doesn't feel as refined or fully realized in comparison to its younger brothers—Marchal will return to many of the same melodies in the sequels as a more mature pianist and composer, but that doesn't change that this is still a beautiful, contemplative album. Each track feels like the answer to a question; an insight, if you will. INSIGHT X leans particularly hard into classical roots. It's a treat!
